Support.radioshack.com undead again!

The old support site, which stopped responding a couple months ago, is working again.

As has been true for a decade or so, it's more undead than fully alive: you can't reach it from http://radioshack.com, or even from http://support.radioshack.com, but it's pages will show up in Google results, and you can browse it if you know the secret URL: http://support.radioshack.com/productinfo/

I only made this post so that people would know that that thread is not just beating a dead horse anymore.

Welp, RS declared bankruptcy again today.

Guessing it's only a matter of time until this server dies again.

The super-secret Sears parts site was like this for years. Sears is still round, and they still have parts stores and you can buy parts on their website, but that URL that wasn't published anywhere doesn't get you the good parts site (where you could buy NOS replacement parts for things 50 years old for numerous brands, not just Sears) doesn't work anymore.

In 2006 or 2007, I got a new stylus for my Hitachi CED player from there!

Took them long enough to file for bankruptcy. The last surviving local Radio Shack lost its Sprint mini-store and has been doing a going out of business sale for the past week.

I'd say I should go check to see if ours is again, but I don't think they had anything left worth buying, even at a discount.
