Hi, I'd love to get a Commodore 64 w/Joystick and basic peripherals to load programs to play with for the experience. I've never had one. I'm also interested in an Amiga 500 or newer too. Back in 1975 I built an Altair 8800 kit, sold it to build a Sol-20 (ripped off along with TV, VCR and stereo before I could get into BASIC) ... I did play Trek-80 a couple of times.

Now I'm hoping to snag affordable toys to learn how they worked and play with them to keep me busy in retirement and learn what I missed back in the day.

I do have some vintage S-100 boards, magazines, club newsletters, and books for trade.

I live in Las Vegas, NV.

Yeah, I never got into Commodore much - my roommate in the barracks had a VIC-20 for a while, and I enjoyed playing Pacman on it (the only other video game I enjoyed was Quest for the Ring on a Magnavox Odyssey II - not really a gamer.) I really liked the SX-64; when I was going to a factory school, a major in my class brought his SX, and I really loved that little thing.
I am also hoping to have a chance to do some Retro-Challenge type thing like doing production work on the SX-64 (maybe using Print Artist to do the Children's Ministry handouts for our church for an entire month. :p )

Hi,

Only a few more days left to vote! People are looking, but not voting, I NEED VOTES! Please Register and Vote.

It is a beginner S.T.E.A.M. education program that is online for FREE!

Registration DOES NOT give away personal info, nor automatically add you to a mailing list, just prevents multiple voting.

After you register, then go back to the link, scroll down a little and click on VOTE.

IF I could get another 500 votes I'd probably win the contest, then have tons of extra cash for buying a computer system, but I also want to make up some kits to give to hospitalized children at the local Shriners and St. Jude's hospitals.

I've given a few kits to a couple of local public libraries ... but they handed them over to a contractor that teaches with Arduino and kits from China so they tossed what he couldn't use and kept the sensors and motors for their own pocket cash. I stopped giving the libraries kits.
