I have a TRS-80 Model 1 that was 4k Level 1 and a guy in my assembly class upgraded it for me to Level 2 and 16k. I have a bunch of games for that computer and I am wondering if those games will work on a TRS-80 Model III or 4. The main game I want to play was a "star trek" type game but I can't remember what it was called. The only thing I remember is it used the command TORPR to shoot using the rear torpedo and TORPF to shoot forward. Any body know what this game was called and if it will run on a Model III or 4?

Will likely run fine on a Model III. The differences are small. The usual problem is the Model III not having arrow character glyphs in its font.

Model 4 BASIC is quite different so not likely to work. But a Model 4 can boot a Model 3 DOS and be just as compatible. Or you can boot into Model III cassette BASIC by holding BREAK on power-on or reset.

I know you said Star Trek-like, but I'd like to offer you my Star Trek. It was written on/for an M1L2 with 48K. I’m at al.wallace1964@yahoo.com
