I'm still a little new to these boards, but to get to the point, I've recently gotten myself an old cassette player for use with my TRS-80 Model I 16K. Problem is, I have no software to write to the tapes. Though I have software on disk, I can't access it because for some reason the complete system I was given was lacking the cable to the expansion unit.

And now the question. I've seen sites with WAV and AIFF files for Apple II systems, but what about TRS-80 cassettes?

Depending on what revision CPU board you have and what revision E/I board you have, the cable could be as simple as 2 - 40 connector card edge and a piece of 40 conductor ribbon cable.

Older E/I board required a buffered interface cable. I reverse engineered the BIC but not enough people were interested in it to make a production run worth while. I even redesigned it in case Tandy got snippy about stealing the design.
