The Model II HiRes adapter

Pascal has completely redraw the schematic of the original HiRes adapter
and made the pcb design for this adapter.
He has to do this without the schematic and technical manual.
A true top performance.

To test the adapter, I have built it completely.
It's a big board with many components and it's rather hard to build it.
When it was finished, it looked, aside a few very small adjustments, exactly on the original board.

The board has a number of hard-to-find items, such as 2 proms, a pal
and a delay line.
The delay line is nearly unavailable and Pascal has solved this
with the use of a smd variant. This is the only adaptation to the original
design and can also be returned to the original state by means of two solder connections.

The adapter worked immediately, but gave some memory errors.
The design is sensitive to the right make of the memory chips.
After some expiration with various sets of memory, the Mostek 4116 appeared
perfect to meet.

The card is optically identical to the original and passes all test software smoothly.
All the software I have, works without any problems.

This is a perfect opportunity for all the owners of Big Tandy's to get the extremely scarce
card in possession.

The distribution expires via Ian (The Right Stuff)
Pascal, thank you for the great job you have done.

The Model II IDE adapter, release 2

The hans-01 and hans-02 were allowed to update with the IDE controller
to be merged into a product on a Model II sized expansion card.

Thanks to a nice cooperation between Pascal, Régis and me, the new adapter has emerged.
The number of components has been drastically reduced without affecting the operation.

The card fits perfectly into the Model II bus and supports a connector for a DOM.
There is room on the card to mount a 2.5" hard drive.
The working is completely transparent with the previous version and DOM's made with the
old interface work smoothly with the new one.

A good plan to install this card together with the Graphic Card.
Régis and Pascal thank you.
The distribution is in the hands of Ian (the Right Stuff)

Thanks to everyone involved! It's great to see new cards being introduced for the Model II. I hope we can leverage this expertise for future additions.
