unknown add-on to VIDEX 80-column card

Hey guys, just got an Apple II Plus shipped to Copenhagen from the US.. Haven't been able to test it yet because of the NTSC-standard dosen't work on any of my TV og monitors....

But can anyone tell me what this VIDEX 80 column card add-on is? It sits on top of the motherboard and is connected to the card and a video-out cable.

Should I just connect my monitor (when I get one) directly to the video-out connection from the card or the build in video-out?

the smaller card is the softswitch card. It let's you switch between 40/80 column from software. video should be attached to the card, but there's no harm if you attached it to the motherboard video out.
