Hi All,
referring to my last post concerning RL01/RL02 and MFM - disk emulator based on BeMicro CV board:

Here is the update with good and primary bad news.
The good news:
A PCB boad was developed successfully and is up and running. A simple outline can be seen in the
accompanying picture compared to the wire-wrap based prototype board.
The board ony needs +5Volt and is based on the chips AM26LS32(RX) and AM26LS31(TX) with 2
level converter 74LVC8T245(24pin). The PCB board was developed in collaboration with the
Computer Museum Muenchen(CMM). I developed the software/firmware with new feature.
Simultaneously support with up to 4 RL-units ( DL0 to DL3 ). Configurable RL-Units with
mixed environment ( if needed to copy data if necessary ) based on emulated and "real" RL drives.
The output files are fully compatible the my earlier designs. The board also is ready to support
WLAN and bluetooth.
The bad news:-(
The BeMicro CV board is no longer available and not on stock !
That's too bad for me and I only can say, that this project based on BeMicro CV is dead.
It seems that Arrow has terminated the production.
An alternative solution could be the DE0_Nano-SoC board but I have to rewrite all
the firmware and software. The board is also more expensive. On the other hand it has a
lot more feature and also space for a PDP-11, VAX or PDP-8 emulator.
