You did say "everyday use". Well, our "emergency radio" is a Sony 7F-74W. Works fine, 10 transistor, 3 "D" cells that last pretty much forever. I have older radios but do not use them on any regular basis.

This is my daily driver for Intenet usage and general alround computer project Hore. Used for burning ISOs to optical media. 1.44meg floppy disk stuff like imaging and such like. Its a NEC/Packard Bell P4 external case with a 775 P4 3.2Ghz cpu, 4gigs of ram running Linux Mint Debian Edition 5(was LMDE4). DELL usb multimedia keyboard and optical mouse. Lots of bit n bobs attached for various computer hobby projects. HP LE190wm LCD monitor. Speakers came in the cardboard box.

Made from a card board box of stuff I won at auction online costing NZ$48 with freight costs as the couple who owned it where coming over to our town an dropped it of that week end.

Same here. Since noone else has yet mentioned this category of items, I will add that the pants I'm wearing right now are at least 20 years old.

15 years? That's 2008. I still consider anything made after 1990 as "modern".

I'm typing this on a keyboard made in 1983. The phone on my desk that I use every day was made in 1953. My LED and LCD watches were made in 1976. My main TV is a 1989 CRT with wooden case. (and on top is a 1988 VCR with "fake wood" veneer - although that's not used every day now that I have a little digital media player connected to the CRT)

I do have some new socks. You can't expect socks to last longer than 15 years.

I've got a 1958 Beetle that I drove across Canada from the Pacific to the Atlantic. It hasn't been my "daily driver" for a couple decades. Sadly, it now just sits there, quietly rusting.

Probably the most used regularly old thing I have is my daily driver - 1993 Ford Explorer Sport. Mom bought it brand new in 1993 and I rode home from Auburn Ford in it when I was 10. It became my first car at 18. I'm still driving it because that thing is more reliable than some Toyotas are. Probably because it's a 2wd Stick.

I also use an Atari 2600, a Parts-NES I built 20 years ago, and of course theirs the entire vintage computer collection. Right now the Tandy 1000A and NanTan Notebook 9200D I have are seeing daily use. The others include a 1991 Compaq 386S/20 w/ a blue lightning chip in it, a NanTan FMA3500C, and 2 NEC Versa laptops - a M/75 and a P/75. This also includes the 3 CRT monitors I have, which includes a 1988 NEC MultiSync II, and the CRT Television I own which is a 1989 Mitsubishi CS2720R.

If we move and get a house with a yard to mow I'll be using a 1984 Murray 20" Stadium Power with a 3.5" Horsepower Briggs & Stratton 92000 series engine on it to cut the grass with. I rebuilt it last summer, incouding replacing the oil sump. The engine is very clean and nice for 40.
