Erik, on the top of your webpage next to the Memberlist link is
the Usergroups link. I was just wonderning what that was for?

Hope I'm in the right section.

Cheers.

P.S. When I click on it, it states that no usergroups exist!

For what it's worth, I can set up users groups for members of the VC Forum community as either open or closed groups.

These groups can then have private message areas or other facilities provided to them (such as group level mailings, I think, and others).

If these boards increase in popularity it might make sense to have one or two of these. For now I'm not sure it's an option we need.

No, it doesn't sound like we need something like
this. Still, I suppose it's handy to be able to have
that so that it can easily be used in the future.

Cheers.

That's another thing I've noticed with this
Forum. With the other sections set up,
when the 'Quote' button is pressed & you
haven't logged in you get the chance to
do so there. But in here when you click
on the
it takes you straight to
the message. So any Guests can write
in here & reply (just as I so accidently
did).

Cheers.

Isn't anonymous access granted per sub-forum level? With respect to that I never have installed or administrated phpBB, that is how I understood it. I don't know which is the default or global setting though.

Yep. Each forum is individually administered with regards to anonymous access, etc.

This is the only place I allow it just in case someone needs to post for help but can't log in. It hasn't been abused so it remains an option.
