VC Forums App?

Does anyone else think that there should be an app for the VC forums? I know I'd use it. Most of the time I access this site I'm on my phone, and using it with a mobile browser can be a real pain...

I would if I knew how... It would be easy to set up something like Tapatalk, but only Erik can do that.

I'd be surprised if vbulletin didn't have a mobile version/mobile app for m.vintage-computer.com or some such creation. It wouldn't really be an app (and I coulda sworn there WAS a mobile version of this site). For reading you could probably do a mobile rss app (this site does rss doesn't it? or am I thinking another).

I've been debating an upgrade to the latest version of vBulletin with Mobile enabled. Users would be able to use the ForumRunner app to access the Vintage Computer Forums from mobile devices. There are also some new featurs for web users as well. The latter is what gives me pause. It's a $360 cost, but I'm more worried about the backlash some of y'all give for any changes 'round here. I'm still smarting from the upgrade to 4.x. :D

You can add the RSS feed:-

to something like feedly or gReader (which uses feedly since the demise of Google Reader) to get a sort of update/app. Still goes to the web page to update but otherwise quite nice...
