Great deal with nullvalue - mice arrive today and working perfectly on my PS/2 50z! I appreciate it!

That blue-green Microsoft one is pretty snazzy. Seems like it'd match well with a Windows 3 computer.

Yeah I had never even heard of that one - the "Microsoft Home" mouse.. Like don't even think about bringing it to the office..

Beyond the sacrilege, I thought it might be a nice color match for an SGI Octane 😜

If it didn't say "Microsoft Home" on it I would almost have guessed that's what it was for. (Although it having a serial connector instead of PS/2 sort of torpedoes that.) I kind of want it but have no idea why.

Verault, I have multiple of them. I was getting ready to list them all for sale, but Null beat me to it. I'll dig it out this evening... take a measurement of the ball you need or a good guess, I have a toooon of mice. Worst case ill take the ball outta mine, and see if it matches any the generic mice I have new lying around.

I do just been busy have it dug out after dinner... Been trying to find my digital caliper. Would rather steal the ball from a non original MS mouse if possible but I have a ton of MS ones (like 10 of the ergo style), just only a couple that style.

Ok so dug out like 30 mice, and a few have the same size ball as that original microsoft. Funny enough, this genius mouse has the same size cap as well! So I have a mouse sitting for you here Verault with the right ball. Going to check a few that I have new once I get into the garage, I have a feeling the generic ones I have in the garage, that are brand new, are same size as well. But in any case, I have one that will work for you! 👍

Going to dig out the MS mouse collection later today, and see if those are same size as well. Maybe someone else will need a ball for these mice in the future...

So you tried the ball in the same MS mouse as mine? I gotta ask is it a solid rubber ball or a rubber coated steel ball. I know the original was a rubber coated steel ball and I am sure it needs the weight for tracking.

They feel the same weight, so I'll guess its steel. Genius was a decent brand in the day... I'll throw it on my scale after dinner.
