I'd like to acquire a few original external Hayes Smartmodems:

  • Hayes Smartmodem / Hayes Smartmodem 300
  • Hayes Smartmodem 1200
  • Hayes Smartmodem 2400

I'm located in southern California. Can pay by PayPal. No eBay.
 
I have an external Smartmodem 1200 in the original box with manual and power supply. Original owner and in great shape ... no scratches etc. It was retired when I went to 9600 and was working fine at the time. Shipping to CA via post would be $20 ... make me a reasonable offer.

I recently came across the original sales receipt for this when cleaning up ... $600 Cdn ... OUCH! How things have changed.

I also have a Hayes Optima 96 external modem complete in the original box. One unique feature of this modem is that it supports synchronous as well as async interfacing.
 
How about a Zoom 2400?... ;)

No, in seriousness, how about a "Hayes Pocket Edition 2400" mobile Hayes SmartModem? Powered solely by the carrier voltage on the phone line.
