Wanted: PT-BR software, MS-DOS, etc.

Hello!

Anyone here have any 8088 (or even higher) portuguese software? I only have english here, what is a big shame, since I have a BIOS ROM that is in portuguese in one of my computers . Looking for MS-DOS, or anything else.

Anyone who subscribed/subscribes to MSDN back in the day received a bunch of "international" disks, with Windows, DIS and other products in various language flavors.

Well, DOS 6.22 is still there in Portuguese/Brazil, but I'm not seeing much else. Maybe they've started removing some of the older stuff. I'll dig around some when I get a chance. At least now I have an excuse for having hung-on to the stacks of cd's.

Microsoft has removed most of the releases of systems done before 2000 from the MSDN libraries. Though according to the Technet documentation, the releases should include DOS 6.22, Win 3.1, WfW 3.11 and then skips NT and Win 9x before including new OS versions starting with XP. Office XP is the earliest included version on the application side.

But I did check the Jan 1996 CD release of MSDN which included DOS 6.22 (listed as Brazil) and Portugese versions of Win 3.1, WfW 3.11, Win 95 and WinNT 3.51. So if anyone in country is disposing their older MSDN discs, that is an easy way to get a sizable library of MS OSes in the desired language.

Note: both Technet and MSDN have major restrictions on use.
