Back when i was a kid, my mom used to have a Toshiba Satellite 4850CT, which i used to play Chips Challenge a lot with it. Of course being a kid, i eventually began playing around with it, but at one point, the OS went completely corrupt, and i think i disassembled it and then reassemble it a few times. After that, i can't remember what happened to it, but it was the first PC i started experimenting with (which would eventually spark my interest in computers).

Not my photo but pretty much the one i'm looking for:

While it's not an urgent priority, it's one i would love to own again due to it having significant sentimental value to me being a childhood computer and the first PC i ever used. Doesn't necessarily have to have a hard drive or the trackball attachment, just as long as the PC powers up to the BIOS and the screen is functional.

Hey bud, I just saw this post. I actually just signed up to let you know that I have a 4850ct in B grade condition, along with the trackball. Get this, I also have a Desk Station IV, that goes with the system. I got into collecting 486 Toshibas when I found a 4600c at a thrift store locally and bought a few others on Ebay. Needless to say, they have some inherent problems, but the 4600c was the first laptop I ever owned, and the t6600c was the first mobile computer I ever messed with.

The caveat is that every model of Txxxx series toshiba laptop I have found has a dry rotted belt in the floppy drive, out of 12 laptops I have yet to find one that hasn't fallen victim to this. The good news is that I've been able to reload the original hard drive with ms dos and win 3.11 by using virtualbox and a usb to ide adapter.

Anyway, PM me or respond to this thread and I will be glad to get with you about a trade or sale on the unit.
