There is a item for sale on eBay (ITEM # 133 072 305 693)

The photo of the computer shows a Model 4
The photo of the box shows a Model III
The photo of the bottom of the computer shows a Tandy 3 (SN 3??)

Any ideas on what this machine really is ??????

The service contract dates suggest that the machine would have been built during the Model III to 4 transition. So having the wrong box would not be too surprising.

http://www.vcfed.org/forum/archive/index.php/t-27083.html is a thread on a 71-1001 systems though identified as a white Model III. It would probably requiring opening the system to determine which board was inside.

Interesting. The keyboard has the gate array clustered arrow key layout also.

If Radio Shack sold me a Model III that had a Model 4 label right up front and useless function keys, I wouldn't be too happy.
