There are so many movies that touch the retro feelgood vibe but what is one of your favorites?

One of my favorites is Sneakers with Robert Redford. So many great aspects to this movie and set in a time where technology was really taking an interesting turn.

Yeah, I was surprised by how good Sneakers was, considering how laughable Hollywood "hacker" movies usually are. But reading up on it, it looks like it was conceived by two of the people behind Wargames, which was similarly excellent, so there you go.

Of course, having Robert Redford in the lead doesn't hurt either.

"Billion Dollar Brain" was pretty good for computer shots.
"The Forbin Project" for lots of old gear put together in interesting ways.
One of my favorite oddities is the movie "Gog" from 1954:

Shows a "NOVAC" computer and, in the lower right "Bendix Computer" before Bendix made computers! Also note the Honeywell chart recorders on the left. Those were standard industrial process control fixtures during the 1950s and 60s.

Hackers.... It's really a funny movie if you know about computers... Not sure they intended it as a satire... but it is to me...

and it has Angelia Jolie....

I actually watched this again recently and it's rough to watch at times. "Mess with the best, die like the rest." lol, right.

You can't help but laugh though! Yeah, my how Jolie has changed over the years...

I had no idea that Fisher Stevens was also the guy who played Ben in Short Circuit.

That's my favourite. Long overdue for a sequel too. There have been rumours about one over the years...

Just to clarify, I'm talking about rumours of a true sequel with Matthew Broderick reprising his role as David Lightman.
