Of course, unless I get a chip tester and can confirm that it's working which really could raise the value with provided proof of course.

But we don't even know what the chip is, no chip tester will have it in the testing menu. So how do you get around that one?I thought possibly there was a ic chip tester that I could just test the chip. Not the board itself haha my bad for rookie knowledge
No problem--you'll learn. That's why some old geezers like yours truly hoard old databooks.I'm honestly new to alot of this and it was a silly noobish comment made out of haste. My bad.
Owning tons of prototypes of all sorts I can tell you that many even get the final retail firmware in order to use them instead of trashing them.prototypes don't usually get version 2 firmware!
Good idea, but if so, then it was a sloppy job. Those holes are filled with solder because it was wave-soldered, which means they were intentionally empty.
May I ask why you think that is the PDF is connected to this card? No criticism, just curiousity. The BIN didn't contain any text so I wouldn't have any idea where to look for.
And the binary PROM contains tables that correspond to bar code.It is listed on page 7 of the PDF ("Ergi EDO 124"). ERGI is written on the card above the large blue cap.
As does the TRS-80 Model 100!So it's a bar code reader interface? Well, that makes sense, a lot of industrial versions use a DE-9 plug.
