Who's got a Yamaha DB50XG daughter sound card?

I'm in the process of building up the 'ultimate' mid 90's era dos game box, and I'm now looking into sound options.

I rescued my old SB16 ISA (with volume knob on the back!) from the attic :D Now I need a daughter card to go with it.

I foundly remember all the confusion and $$$ those extra add on or 'specialty' cards were back in the day.. and sadly, I just couldn't save up enough or justify why my parents should spend $200+ for me on 'just an add on sound card'. What was wrong with what I got? lol

Anyway, I've been researching around and it looks like the SB16 + DB50XG is pretty much one of the best combos you can get. No more FM Synth for me!!!

So, does anyone have one? Any stories or sample files you'd like to share. Such as how it compares to other options, where'd you get it, how much $, etc.

I have that card connected to a SB16 in my P200MMX DOS game box (along with a gravis Ultrasound PnP with 8MB RAM), it does kick ass for later DOS era games that support it.

For real old DOS games a Soundblaster Pro 2.0 along with a Gravis Ultrasound Max (1MB) is a better choice IMHO.

I purchased the db50xg new and have no intention of selling it, you will also find they command a few bucks on ebay when somebody is stupid enough to part with theirs.
