Hi everyone! I found a nice windows 98 upgrade package in my parents basement, which was actually perfect since I was in need of one for an old 486 I have. Unfortunately I just pulled the package out again and both of the disks in the package were cracked somehow. I was really bummed that I would have to spend $50-$100 on a new package of it since eBay prices are in space. I was wondering if anyone in the forum would be able to send me the files if anyone has the disks. Thank you!
 
If you have a legit key I'm sure you could find a copy online somewhere. But 50-100$ on ebay? Just buy the same kind of disk. win98 keys would work with just about any disk of the same type. IE get anther 98 upgrade disk like your and your key would most likely work with it.

I may still have a 98 disk around somewhere, I look for it tonight and see what I can find. But don't get your hopes up I think I sold them all.
 
If you have the product key, it's really easy to just burn a new disk, there are image files on the internet. I got a copy on WinWorldPC.com and just burned a disk. Make sure you use a CD+R or -R, not RW because older drives sometimes won't read them correctly
 
And you can even just copy the files to the hard drive if you've already made it bootable. That's what I'd always do when loading win9x. :)
