Although I have been having just about as much fun as anyone can have running my 11/23 under RT-11 doing things like formatting and copying disk, and writing little Basic programs and running them I am now starting to wonder if there is any type of word processing software out there that will run in a RT-11 environment. I know there was a family of Decwriter systems that used a PDP-8 system and special software for dedicated systems but did not know if there was a version that can be run under RT-11 or maybe RSX-11? Not thinking of something complex like Word, or Word Perfect but something more like the old Word Star application that ran under DOS? Back in the late eighties I remember the first word processor I used was Word Star, Then MS Word that was bundled in MS Works then Word Perfect and now Microsoft Word but now think it would be the greatest thing in the world to sit down at the 11 con, compose something and send it to the line printer. Of course this means I will have to find a ribbon for the old LA line printer.
