Vintage is a relative term.

To some people it means "what was there when they were young". And I agree.

You must have missed the original context from my thread "Vintage Ironey", spelling error lovingly pointed out by mbbrutman.

The previous iteration of forum software made my "older" iPad vintage, a.k.a. obsolete. With the passing of the older version of forum software to a newer version I could no longer log in, read, or post messages to this forum. That seemed to be a reasonable moment to classify my iPad as "vintage".

Just to cover all my bases... I'm vaguely familiar with the term "vintage". In the mid 1970's I designed and built my first microcomputer using an Intel 8008. I'm guessing that may possibly qualify as vintage today, no?

And then again don't (do not... a.k.a. dont) get me started on the topic of spelling errors.
