Hey there! I'm after a Roland LAPC-I midi card. In box is great but I am cool with just a loose card. Message me if you got one!

Well, you do say 'Message me if you got one'! However, mine is very much still in use, and it's NOT for sale, at the moment.

Wondering what you're planning to do with one, if you find one?

Mine is still fitted into an old PC (it needs the 8 bit ISA slot, although manages with a 16 bit slot). If I can no longer find a working PC with an ISA slot I'll be in trouble. I use the MT-32 Synth part from time to time, but mainly it's used as the midi card so that software can work with the external devices (currently attached are a Yamaha MU90r and a Korg NS5r). Mainly do a lot of playing with midi files, although I've got some Virtual stuff (using SynthFont) on the main PC if I want to be a bit less 'retro'.

I've got piles of stull re MT-32, patches, prog utils etc. Also got some rather nice midi files specifically set for MT use, which I do play from time to time switching audio output to the MT rather than the Yamaha etc..

Most people looking for the Roland card seem to be into retro gaming, this is something I've barely touched. On the rare occasions I've got time for games, if there's sound, I'd turn it off. I might try the music while NOT playing, just for technical interest.

One just sold on ebay for $50 last week. Somebody got the deal of a lifetime. They are going for around $700 now. I remember buying mine over a decade ago for $300 and thinking it was pricey at the time.
