I need a working floppy drive for an IBM PS/2 Model 55SX, IBM part number 72X6068. Hoping to pay somewhat less than the high prices I have found on eBay.
The one I am replacing is made by Mitsubishi, their part number MF355C-599MA, though I gather there are equivalent parts made by other manufacturers. I suspect that this one just needs capacitors replaced as it was working a couple weeks ago, but surface mount soldering is not a strength of mine. If you are someone who repairs these, we can talk about a price for repair or exchange of working for non-working.
