XT IDE BIOS as a device driver

Hi,
Is it possible to load the XT IDE BIOS as an early DOS device driver in CONFIG.SYS? Something like 2M-XBIOS does?

I usually boot my XT machine from floppy/GOTEK and would like to use a 16bit/AT IDE/multi IO card without burning an EPROM.
