XT-IDE BIOS on a Sound Blaster 16 Card

Hello,

I want to install the XTIDE BIOS in my 486 and was investigating ways to make that happen, and found some discussion about flashing XTIDE onto some variant of the SB16 card.

I seemed to have lost that information, and can't find it again anywhere. Does anyone know which variant of the SB card can be flashed with XTIDE? Also, where would I find instructions on how to make that happen? I've been Googling all morning and can't find anything.

I've never heard of an audio card with an option ROM. Are you sure you aren't thinking of putting the XTIDE BIOS on a network card instead?

I did read about putting the BIOS in a NIC, but I could have sworn I read about doing it on an audio card. Might be mistaken though - it could have been a Sound Blaster 16 variant with an IDE connector that would work in tandem with the XTIDE BIOS (with the BIOS installed on some other card).
