Yea the seller said they were original owner and had done the buy one give one program back in the day. Battery still holds a charge and it is in great shape cosmetically. I had heard that it is possible to dual boot xp using the sd card slot on the machine. I’ll have to explore this

Glad you got it working! I have not used that specific hard drive image on my system so can’t speak to setting game options I’ll try and test it out. I ended up getting a Japanese wireless keyboard for my z and real unit and have not had issues with any characters not being recognized correctly.

One more bad chip and we are in business

I did some more troubleshooting and then just decided to pull chips I couldn’t safely probe while the card was in the PEB. Found 2 bad chips in the first 4 that I took out and still had ram failure in the test. Going to take out the next 4 later this week.

Thanks for the reply! I had piggybacked only 4 chips at a time on the higher bank and it did not work. I’ll try doing all of the RAM and see if I get any success. It’s hard to gauge if the ram is making good contact especially since the card sits vertically in the PEB
