1.44mb Floppy disks

The boxes just showed up, didn't know Fedex delivered on Saturday. Anybody get a partial refund on shipping like I did (only a couple dollars)?

He sent me a message with the shipping about, but it was like 40 cents over.

I dont think he will reimburse for that, but I like how this guy operates.

sorta related, i got a BUNCH of 5 1/4" floppy disks from my grandad. Did a full countup and after mixing in the ones i already had, there is a grand total of 190 floppy disks. Some seem really interesting such as Visual Basic 1.0. There's also lots of copies of Disk 2 from Windows/386 for no apparent reason. So i think i'm good for floppes for a good while :D

i have 2 brand new boxes of 5 1/4 floppies. i think i got them for like 50 cents a box. i have 4 boxes of 5 1/4 in total. 40 5 1/4 floppies. i don't use them too much. i like using the 3 1/2 floppies because they are a lot easier to find.

i just found a box full of floppies on my way home from the grocerie store. looks like someone tried to sell them at a garage sale but they did not sell. i think i'm now set for life.

Any originals in there? Most old used disks tend to have bad labels on them and bad sectors (could have a virus as well).

i've gone through them all and about 25% of them are original. there is a whole bunch of brand new lable. there are a few that look interesting and i will want to test. looks like who ever owned them before did accounting or worked with money. some of the floppies look real high quality. i think i am going to clean my floppy drives and then start formating floppies. i don't think i will run into any virus's but i'm going to use a crappy computer anyway.

I also have a good size collection of floppies. I have brand new boxes of 8 inch ones and 500 new 720k size. I'm making a point to keep as many low density 5.25 that I can find. The older disks are better quality.
