Can anyone recommend a power supply for a 1581 drive? Mine is, as Bones McCoy would put it, dead, Jim. As with all things Commodore, I would prefer a new/modern replacement to avoid issues with the Commodore PSU's of death. I am in the US, so would prefer a US vendor just to avoid the delays and shipping fees from overseas, but am not outright against it.

You could just take a couple of spare wall warts that you have laying around, and bodge them into the original case. That's what I did for both my C64 and 1541 Mk ii.

I have them available. $27 shipped here in the US. Send me a PM!

I use to take a couple of stabilized PSU like this one (one 5v and one 12v, both 2A or 3A) and grab them together. They works fine for the 1581 and 1541-II
For the C=64 I use a 9v transformer (can be used the original one) and one 5v PSU like this one.
One of this usually cost 4 or 5 USD on Aliexpress and its size is quite small.
