200MHz MMX... will it work in XPS P166s?

If you're going the eBay route, please check first and not bother the people who'll look for these things.

Sigh. Back into the parts box with this one.

Just for the record, a Pentium 233MMX (or any Pentium MMX, for that matter) with split voltage will usually run fine in most single voltage motherboards and they're so cheap and easy to get right now that if you should burn one up from overvolting it's no big deal. The 200mhz K6 is single voltage with MMX and will also work as an upgrade for a non-MMX Pentium. If you're putting them in place of a WinChip, though, you're going to need more cooling as they run hotter than a WinChip. In something like a Netpliance I-Opener, that is most likely going to mean some case modding to make the heatsink fit.

That's a good price, can't beat that ;-)

How much was the shipping, though? .99 with $3-$4 shipping isn't such a good deal anymore.

200mhz Pentiums aren't nearly as hard to get as they used to be. They were primarily an OEM part and as such were hard to find until someone upgraded or parted out an old machine. Now all those 200mhz OEM boxes have been stripped and the CPU's that were in them flooded the market and drove the price down. I pity any collector who bought one when they were still trading at $100+ thinking they were rare.
