Axial capacitors are getting expensive

I haven't been watching prices or anything, but I am looking at replacing capacitors on a power supply, and was startled by some of the prices for axial capacitors. Even some of the larger radial capacitors seem a bit pricey now. Obviously axial capacitors are not used as frequently and are even less common in newer electronics.

Another kind of part that will be harder or impossible to find in the future, I guess.

Anything still being used in production that can "fall off the back of a truck" will be cheap to source. Once a type gets phased out then you are stuck with whatever supply is still in the channel plus whatever companies dump when they no longer have warranty work to worry about.
