Hi guys, long time no see, been busy at work with projects and such - so missed my vintage stuffs!

So, I didn't use the search function ;)

What apps do you guys use to benchmark 486/P1 era machines? I presume landmark speedcom does not really feature all that well here :D

I am busy trying to get a P1 based machine up and running, and I have a few chips that I can use, and want to bench them a bit. Might even fiddle around with over/under-clocking etc.

Cheers guys!

I used to use Intel Media Benchmark (for which I have two official CDs lying around) - seems you can get that here; http://www.benchmarkhq.ru/english.html?/be_mm.html

Not sure as to wether it will work on an 80486 though as I seem to recall it relying on MMX (and was probably some of it's marketing), you might be able to find an old Sisoft Sandra that'll run, such as 649, though as you're meant to buy it I'm not about to find and link to one. *cough* Google *cough*.

I don't do games so generally don't consider benchmarks as long as everything is instant. However, since there aren't a lot of answers here I'll just say that you might find a couple of bencmark apps among my little DOS diags collection. I put it here.
