Compaq LTE 5100 Ram module problems

Hi, i have Compaq LTE 5100 Pentium 90 Mhz 8mb integrated ram. I want to install more ram on it. I have tried every possible ram module i had, ordered few more from ebay, does not work either, the computer only shows internal 8mb of ram. Thats all, tried to check bios, cmos battery is dead and removed, the ram slot is clean, everything inside looks like normal. Can someone point me to the right direction?

I had this one at work long ago, I remember it had 8mb RAM. We wanted to upgrade, but we had same problem, stuck at 8mb (or black screen with some modules). Never managed to add more.

I have some ram from a 5300 round here. Should be compatible. Being a Compaq of this era, most likely have to run the diagnostic software.
