Folks, the last version of PC DOS was 7.01, but there were further developments that were used in things like Norton Ghost and other utilities.

At one time, I was idly dithering adding these upgraded components to PC DOS 2000 [PC DOS 7.01]. My DIMM memories suggest they are in the Server Guide Tool Kit. It would be nice to have FAT 32 support under DOS.

Has some intelligent individual merged the updated programs into PC DOS so that it's installable?

The last version of IMSs REAL/32 has Fat32 support as well as support for LS120 and IOMEGA Zip 100 drives out of the box.

What about using the DOS of Windows 98? Or do I miss something?
Because PC DOS is an IBM product and -NOT- from M$ ? PC DOS still had direct support for the Micro Channel PCMCIA /A.

Yes, I run W98SE on my Model 90, since W98SE supports FAT32, it's about the most "modern" OS available for Micro Channel.

BUT... I have a heart-throb for WfWG 3.11, you can crash it so hard it bounces, then go in with a DOS boot floppy with EDIT or EDLIN on it, fix system.ini or whatever [it's been over thirty years, humor me]. WfWG does not support FAT32. Then you add Photoshop 4.0, a SCSI scanner, period software...
