Hell, does anyone have any dec equipment they are looking to sell? Anything on eBay is way overpriced so I was thinking maybe someone here might have some reasonable priced equipment. I am mostly looking for PDP computers and accessories. I’m trying to add to my collection because so far it doesn’t have anything that I exciting just old Apple computers. I’m hoping to make some kind of museum here in Manitoba since there are none. Thank you.

A lot of DEC equipment is still used in business, sellers know this, and price accordingly. If your business is down because you DEC machine is down folks will pay big money. Then lots of collectors also want DEC equipment so again the price goes up. Some collectors even have it for sale reasonable price, but this is a world wide forum, and you haven't filled in your location in your profile, so they can't tell if they could get it to you at a reasonable cost. You also don't say what sort of DEC kit. Does it need switches and lights, so an old PDP-8, PDP-10 or PDP-11? Does it have to be a PDP-8 or PDP-11 family CPU so would a later PDP-8 or PDP-11 float your boat. Or does it just have to say "Digital" on the box so a VAX? What about an Alpha running VMS. Those get given away...

The only PUMAs I've been close enough to look at, had a PDP-11 based controller. But they may be LSI-11, I didn't get to see the gubbins.

The Unimate PUMA was a very important milestone in computing and manufacturing. All modern industrial robots are based on it. Most manufacturing history is being lost.

What specifically (if anything) are you looking for? I've still got a fair amount of DEC stuff sitting in the basement. All Q-BUS though. Sold off all the Unibus stuff a few years back.
