Hi there, I just received my Floppy Emu Device and I was wondering if anyone has a HD20 image with GS already loaded.
I guess that would be a 50meg image file. I'm afraid I dont even know where to start. Or perhaps even a 50 meg blank image,
at which point i can download and create install disks for it. :) Wondering if someone might be able to help with that. :)

I have the install images, but now I need a blank for a IIgs. :) so I can install, or if not too much trouble, a ready to go image,
i can put on my SD card. :)

I know i have to put the Apple II firmware on my device.

I have the Floppy Emu A model with the universal adapter.

Found blank HD20 images: http://apple2online.com/index.php?p=1_81_CFFA3000-Support-Files
which according to the Floppy Emu should work fine on the Apple IIgs. :)

Ok i have my Apple IIgs connected to a real 3.5" drive, and the Floppy Emu connected to the back of it.
I put two disk images on the blank SD.

Live.Install for GSOS 6.03 (32meg SMART1.PO)
SYSTEM 32meg partition (32meg SMART0.PO) - formatted using the HDtool on the 3.5" GSOS 6.01 disk i booted from.

I ran the install from the Live.Install disk onto the SYSTEM 32meg blank partition. after I ran the install successfully,
i was hoping to boot from the SYSTEM partition on the Floppy EMU, but it would not boot from it...

so not sure what's up, system is named SMART0.PO as per the documentation, and my IIgs will not boot from it.
I can see the partitions when i boot from my real floppy disk, but i cannot boot from the Floppy Emu...

is there something else i need to do to the partition before the IIgs will boot from it? :)

please advise. :)

Cheers. :)

Sadly, you cant boot from the floppy emulator if it is hanging off the back of a 3.5 drive.
The GS will only attempt a boot from the first device..

once you have installed the system from floppy to the HD image smart0.po then connect the floppy emulator directly to the GS and it will boot.
