Have an Ungermann-Bass ethernet card for sale. I did not test it for it's intended purpose, but it did not cause any issues when I had it in my Compaq Portable III. (Used it as a filler card)

$15 plus shipping

In the early 1990s those Ungermann-Bass cards were one of the standard Ethernet cards used in a lot of the PCs where I worked. If I remember correctly there is an 80188/80186 CPU in the LCC socket which could run parts of the network stack downloaded by the host PC, which saved conventional memory in the PC and/or improved the network performance, at least for the NetBEUI protocol. That might have been no longer the case after we migrated from NetBEUI to TCP/IP.

Is the card pictured here an NIUpc? I haven't found of photo of one yet.

I did find an article in Network World, Nov 10, 1986 which says that the NIUpc can be field upgraded to the 3270 NIUpc, where an interface board adds Irma and IBM coaxial cable compatibility to the basic NIUpc functionality.
