Green 753 battery project.

Just started 2nd attempt at 3d modeling the battery case. Tinkercad am having better luck using endless individual parts to make the case so will take quite a bit of time to measure everything to get it done.

Ok, got the base mostly done......still got the connector and a part on the underside of the battery pack, this is defiantly going to take awhile as I don't have access to a full range of shapes, that would make this FAR easier, or shapes have alot more adjustment options, such as taking a box and making the top lean to make a parallelogram for example, since the long part of the sides are at a bit of an angle...batt.png

Batteries in hand and I've taped them togeather and spot welded the tabs to each other as the originals are. Just need to solder wires in place, then I can try it.

Well got the circuit transfered to new battery. Started charging and worked, however I need to add new wires to the pack, little too short and the redwire from the connector side pulled off the battery, so I need to fix that. Overall success, still need to work on case. Sadly, I had to leave the top off to get the pack in the system. So going to try and get the case done, and map the battery circuit to remake if I can't locate a good replacement option.

Thanks. Just hope the case can be 3d printed.... top i don't see an issue.... it's the bottom that might ba an issue...

3D models generally need to be "manifold" to be able to be printed properly. What that means is the model is made up of a singular object, not lots of overlapping pieces like you showed a few posts ago. I've never used tinkercad, but there's probably a way to make the group of objects one single object.

If you try to print lots of overlapping objects, it confuses the STL conversion and the printer into thinking it needs to make walls inside an object and it can cause problems.

I've printed with it before with no issues from my slicing software. Google sketch up however I've had several problems with that
