Hi all, I just joined this forum because I'm interested in building a vintage computer. I've been a long time follower of LGR on YouTube and always wanted to build a vintage computer to play some games and use some programs I used when I was young. I'm interested in building a Windows 95 build and want some advice on finding components and software. I have fond memories of writing stories in Word Perfect on DOS and programming in BASIC from books I checked out from the library when I was in grade school. I have a 4 year old son and I'd like him to experience older technology and some of the games I grew up with. I love Sierra adventure games and LucasArts games from the 90s.

I demonstrated my Apple IIe to my son (when he was young). The fact that it beeped and was ready virtually instantaneously was a bit of a surprise to him being used to the boot-up time of his first Windows 95 laptop I acquired free from work.
