Hi everyone, I have been collecting a range of vintage electronic gear for a while now, but my recent acquisition was a result from watching one of the regular users on this forum 'NeXT' who did a video on YouTube, explaining the Sun MEA 1500 Engine Analyzer. He inspired me to purchase one here in Australia, and I am now slowly trying to bring it to life.

I'm fairly new to electronics, but passionate to learn, as I have done with auto restoration over the past 12 years. I'm looking forward to learning and sharing on this forum.

Cheers,

Joe

Hello Joe. Welcome to these forums.

Consider adding your location to your profile. That may help in some way later on.
Sorry for the silly question, but how do I add my location? there doesn't seem to be an option under 'About' in my profile.

Cheers,

I seem to remember that you have to get ten (10) posts under your belt to get out of moderation. You are then able to enter your location.

I have made the same suggestion for new folk myself, and some of them have responded that this feature is not available until they were out of moderation.

@ajacocks, can you comment on whether my statement is correct or not?

Dave

Left-click on your profile name at the top-right of the screen, then select {Account details}, and there you will find a field named {Location}.

@Kombi Garage - When you hit 10 posts you become a full member and will be able to edit your profile in more detail and set you location. This is in place to curb SPAM issues (what I could call a drive-by spamming, they set their signature/location etc to ad links or promotions, but never actually post anything).

Do responses to this post count? 🙂 If so, I'll be close now.

Afraid not. Only posts by yourself.

Get involved in a recent thread that looks of interest to you. Or start your own...

Especially in the 'introduction' area.

Or start a thread on something that you want to know more about, or of a repair or interesting experience you have been part of.

You will find, if you get involved, that the 10 posts go very quickly indeed.

It is worthwhile having this feature enabled, as it keeps the spam very low on the board at the slight inconvenience of newcomers. Stick with it for a short while longer...

Dave
