Anyone know where I can get a copy of AIX or a PowerPC version of Linux? Can’t seem to find a Linux archive with old enough versions to work on these machines. I would like to run a cluster.
Anyone have a source for Linux PowerPC of that vintage?
You might have trouble finding one that still works.
On mailing lists, it seems like Debian and Gentoo are still somewhat active with PowerPC. I use NetBSD/PReP port on my 7248-133 43P and even that is a little finicky.

Although, there's a lot of Mac PowerPC focus there, since those are the most common PowerPC machines.
I also have a box with, I think, CDs for AIX 3.2.2 and some applications like VisualAge C++ and SmallTalk. Also some book manuals for the RS/6000 F40. I don't have the F40, so was keeping it around until I found someone with one that wanted them and possibly to rip the CDs for preservation.

Check out this website http://ps-2.kev009.com/rs6000/I’m sure that will be helpful, but I was looking for the feature codes to like a NIC card or SCSI card. So I can search for them on eBay.
There's a giant pdf file on there with tons of useful information like error codes, and how to read them, and also FU numbers for parts. It's definitely worth saving a local copy of it.
