Looking for Windows 3.0 DDK

Wikipedia is wrong on this. I don't believe it was given a fancy name but there were device driver kits for Windows 2.x and Windows 3.0. Available for special order instead of Win 3.1 DDK which was provided to everyone. Probably also Windows 1.x but I wasn't doing Windows programming then.

Haven't gotten to it yet. Will give it a go today.

You probably want to take this discussion as PM rather than clutter up the list with it.

Ugh, this is going to be difficult--I've got several thousand disks to go through. What bugs me is that I can't find the manuals--and I know I have those. Probably hiding in a box somewhere.

Are you sure that you can't use a 3.1 DDK? That one's easy.

I had it up with the virus for like two hours and fixed it
the fixed version has no password

the second manual is OCRing

-- ah... this didn't come from bitsavers

A post was made yesterday on the Applesauce discord trying to determine if it had a boot virus
If someone knew that password, they leaked it from the short discord discussion and it was fixed within a half
hour. the version with the password was never on bitsavers. also, the infected .imds in it have names with _infected
in them

I had been searching for this since it was asked for in 2017 and it showed up a week ago in some things
that I was just given

I just popped over to this thread to post the availability after spending half a day cleaning up the scanned
manuals, and see this :-(

Really curious how much of the VM description in the DDK survived in later documentation.

Oh, did I mention betawiki are assholes? They nagged me for months to give them a copy of a beta windows CD I bought on eBay

Hay man, you gotta save that random beta build that feels completely the same as the countless other test builds because this one has a few unimportant DLL's tweaked. Could be someone's ticket to fame for discovering history! ;)
