I am wondering if people here would be interested in Micro 8088 kits?
Possibly the following options:
1. Micro 8088 PCB + chipset - I already did this in the past, and it was some interest. $30 + shipping
2. Micro 8088 PCB + chipset + the pre-programmed Flash ROM and the MCU for the on-board AT2XT converter. Likely around $40 + shipping.
3. All the components required to build a Micro 8088. Not sure about the exact price. Probably around $100 + shipping.
4. Fully assembled and tested Micro 8088 board. $150 or so + shipping.

If you'd be interested, what option would you be interested in. Or maybe there are other options you want to see?

I would also like option #3, provided that you're able to ship it to me (Lima, Peru) using registered mail or similar (plain first class mail won't do it).

I might be interested in #2, I think I have almost everything I need to populate this other than the chipset lying around. (I guess I need to see if my TL866II programmer can handle the PIC.)

I would choose option 3 as well. This world has been a poorer place since Heathkit stopped selling quality kits. At VCF East, I stopped and talked with the great Lee Hart. He had a really nice display there - and as everyone probably knows, he puts together some epic little computer kits. He mentioned that Heathkit was one of his inspirations. There's nothing better than a well put-together vintage computer kit.

Anyway, to me, its not like we couldn't just order the empty board, and then go to Digikey/Mouser, etc, etc - but this is a hobby, and - as long as your dealing with mainly through-hole components - it's just a lot more entertaining, interesting, and educational to get the full kit from one source(schematic, instructions as needed, and parts).
