hey all! does anyone happen to have an easily-parseable list of MCA video cards that work under OS/2 and use the AVE slot, or, alternatively, know which are the most desireable? the MCA P/390 can only be installed in the BVE slot, limiting my options somewhat. the card i currently have is the cirrus logic card with brightness flickering issues, and since soldering SMT is well outside my comfort zone i can't currently fix it myself.

I don't know who told you the MCA P/390 can only be installed in the BVE slot, but I'm about 98.7% confident they are full of beans.

P/390 Processor card is a 32-bit MCA card. It has no video extension, neither AVE -OR- BVE. The 32-bit slot does have MME, but the usefulness of MME on systems faster than 16MHz is zero.

Not sure if you need anything better than XGA-2.

Since you mention BVE -AND- AVE, I >ASSUME< at the least that you have a Model 95 with a Pentium complex. Perhaps a PC Server 500?
