I came across a Pentium-S 100 MHz PC. I'm going to install OS/2 Warp 3 to see it working.

I'll report back on the configuration and result.

I remember running this back then. Don't remember on what type of system, but it ran well. I was running a BBS on it at the time. I have a copy running now
under Virtual Box.

I have an IBM Developer's Network CD-ROM with Warp 3 on it. Haven't run it in many years, but I recall having to create two 3.5" floppies to load it (kicker1 and kicker2). I don't recall the CPU that I used it on--probably a 486. The CD-ROM contains other developer tools as well, but sadly not Warp 3 Connect.

Without any programmes running 🏃‍♀️ there is an awful lot of disk activity, swapfile maybe
It's OS/2 warp 3 Connect.

Can't get CD to be recognized.

Have a PCI NIC. Have to ID it to load driver.
All up and running but can't get CD drive to be recognised

Swapfile if you are very memory tight like 16 MB or less. Otherwise, it could just be that the WPS is quite big and will take a while to load.

For those thaty don't know this-The first version of Warp IDE CDRom drivers were terrible. IBM provided updated drivers. Try Warp Connect,

The CD-ROM install works. However, the install doesn't set up the CD-ROM. Installing the driver from OS/2 fails because there is no access to the install CD to load the driver.

I looked for my copy of Warp 3 -- found it in a Plextor caddy, so that answers what kind of CD ROM drive I used. :)
Try copying the CD installation files to a floppy. It'd probably fit on a kicker floppy.

I installed PC DOS 6.30 and set up CD drive support. I then XCOPYied the OS2IMAGE Directory to the C drive. Booted up os/2 and pointed the installation setup to thatdirectory. CD access now from os/2

The original Warp 3 wont have Nic support out of the box. You'll need Warp Connect or the Warp network client from Warp 3/4 server or another Warp network client such as Novell Netware.

It's warp 3 connect blue
Excellent! MS Windows 3.1x support as well.

I have Wark v3 Connect on a 486 but installed the OS/2 Warp v4 Server OS/2 network client because it supports DHCP and has a full 32 bit TCP/IP stack.
