Repaired Intertec Superbrain - after 12 years of trying!!

Just wanted to share - today I fixed my Superbrain QD!


After years of trying to fix a Superbrain motherboard I've had since I was about 13 (with a lot of JonB's help, we got it 95% fixed) - earlier today, I had a go at the board that actually came with my Superbrain - and somehow succeeded!

Its here, right next to me - running a RAM check program. Its like falling down a black hole that leads to my childhood - when i had 5 of of these things!

Thanks to JonB and all else on here who have contributed to my forlorn and persistent cries for help over the years.
 
Wow, very impressed. I very much admire your never give up attitude. I'm am like that when it comes to repairs.
 
Also, I just love the naming of computers and electronic components from the 1970's era.

For example "Intertec Superbrain" very cool. And many other examples, companies like Signetics and Teledyne (who produced products called Fetrons). I could imagine an episode of the 6 million dollar man, where Fembots tried to take over the world using Intertec computers and products from Signetics and Teledyne. It seems that more modern companies are less creative with the naming of themselves and their products. Also the 1970's era colors and artwork were pretty hard to beat.

Computers were just plain more INTERESTING in pre-PC days.
