I obtained some S-100 PCBs including a backplane. The backplane seems to be this one found on Retrobrew. My question: where can I obtain the slot connectors that fit in the backplane?

I did quite some searching but I must be using the wrong parameters because so far I only found connectors with either the wrong number of pins and/or the wrong pitch.

Thank you in advance!

There are two remaining sources for new S100 connectors that have the required 0.25" spacing between the rows of solder pins required for this backplane.

1. EDAC part number 346-100-520-202
They are expensive! Currently in stock at DigiKey, can be backordered at Mouser.

2. Sullins part number EBA50DRJH
Less expensive but you need to special-order them in multiples of 10 from DigiKey

You can also try contacting Todd Goodman to see if he still has any available - he stocks and sells many S100 boards, and S100 connectors. You can find his contact information at the bottom of this page:

Someone’s got lots of S100 sockets but they’re located in Australia. Be aware that the solder tails of such sockets can vary in size requiring different PCB hole sizes with some being small and some being larger. They also vary in coating such as gold, bronze phosphor, silver, shiny metal and none at all.

Yes every once in a while someone comes across a batch of "new old stock" connectors left over from the 1970s.
However, the links to the two connectors I provided above are for brand new production high quality connectors that are absolutely known to fit the modern "9 slot backplane" currently being sold.

Digi-Key has 925 of them in stock as of my posting this (https://www.digikey.com/en/products...3?s=N4IgTCBcDaIKIBEDCBmALANgIwAYwFoA5BEAXQF8g). Please leave 3 of them for me to buy in a few days.... :)
