For anyone who hasn’t had a chance to check out his YouTube channel, Usagi Electric (David) does some very interesting vacuum tube builds, and has recently restored a Centurion mini computer, and has now started working on a Wang Writer 5503.
He made some quick progress with the machine, but was stuck without a good copy of the system software. David reached out to VCF through Tony Bogan, who put him in touch with Jeff Brace. Rich Acosta recently donated to VCF another 5503, that does not currently work. Accompanying that machine were good copies of the system software, and Ian Primus imaged them, and sent them to David.
So, fantastic teamwork was done, and a system that nobody seems to have had running was restored to service.
