To whoever is at the helm of the VCFed social media controls: Could you please knock it off with the really ugly and aged-like-a-dead-badger AI art?
I'm not saying go out and find someone to spend a month drawing panels for one-off adverts but for the love of god, AI generated art is incredibly tacky.

Thanks for the feedback. Little surprised that a one-off aliens-at-a-vintage-computer-festival picture wasn't just taken for what it is: Funny; with all its ugliness and aged-dead-badger look. It's not trying to be anything real. In any case, it's me, Steve Diederich at the helm of the VCF SoCal social media controls. I can't speak if you're having similar social media posting angst with VCFed or any other VCF shows. Cheers! -Steve

Well I do at the least appreciate the response on the feedback but please take it not as an insult but as a very firm piece of feedback. The AI art isn't aging well. It comes up with some amazing combinations of mysterious hardware but it's being done to death by everyone to the point it's just blending into the background noise as cheap low-effort artwork and I've heard people complain specifically about it.

That is what I mean. Yes. I am extremely tired. Its been a very long day on very little sleep with a lot of excitedly leaning over tables and going "ooh! Its so cool to see one of these in person!"

Prior VCFMW2023 (Chicago) This was the first VCF in SoCal, taking place on the south side of Los Angeles. Thanks to other unrelated travel, I ended up able to attend this “pop-up” VCF (that had only been planned a couple months prior). This took place February 17th and 18th, 2024. Reminder...
