Not too much about politics in this topic - but I am interested in computer side of World Trade Center(the original).
Generally - what was the first computer(s) installed in the towers? Maybe You known? Does the later bureau computers followed the trends in microcomputers or were something different? Also - maybe You worked or visited there - what was it for You? Does the architecture, and persons working was something "WoW', or worse than expected?

20 years? So much time has passed. Even 2001 computers are considered "vintage" now.

One of the few news sites that kept running that day, due to all the load, was the formerly nerdy news site slashdot.org. The original discussion can still be read here: https://slashdot.org/story/01/09/11/1314258/world-trade-towers-and-pentagon-attacked

I though there was some discussion about web servers running there, but I must be misremembering (or the discussion archive is bitrotted since slashdot seems to delete accounts and content now).

Just glancing at the comments, an interesting comment is that most NYC over the air TV stations and some radio stations went out because the antenna(s) was on the WTC building.

Thanks for reply. I think You are right that computers from beginning of XXI century(and even up to 2006 or more) can be considered vintage now. Just i got repaired ATX supply(yes it was cheaper to repair than to buy new one) for as far as I remember my Pentium 4 machine. Despite some quite modern AGP cards for it on the market, I personnally think that VCF should have section for Pentium 4 machines.
