I have a fantastically nice IBM AT, with period correct upgrades to 8MB (!) of RAM, with a boxed, possibly unused IBM CGA monitor, and a really nice boxed IBM EGA monitor available for sale. I also have the matching model F AT keyboard, also in its box.

I already have a really nice AT, so this is surplus to my needs. I am selling it for a friend, so I'm looking to get him a reasonable price for this amazing machine. The motherboard does need new tantalum caps, as it does have at least one shorted. I checked the PSU, HDD and floppy drive, and they all power up fine, as does the EGA monitor. I did not test the CGA monitor, as it is sealed in plastic.

This will go to eBay, if I have to, but I'd prefer to find someone who really appreciates this machine for what it is. Note that the plastic back cover is still present! I've never found an AT with that still attached.

I could be interested. I always hate shipping monitors as I have seen what happens to many of them. Sure would have been easier if I still lived in Md. Is there a quasi-desired price here?

I'm interested as well, in particular for the monitors as I have neither :) - but wouldn't want to insult with a price so would love to know. I worry about the shipping ruining them as well :(.

To clarify the contents, the machine has:

2 AST Advantage (AT) cards, with Advantage Pak expansions, for 2MB + 2MB each, for a total of 8MB.
IBM EGA Card w/ 256k expansion card
IBM mono graphics + printer card
MFM HD + floppy controller
Hitachi CD-ROM interface card
Computer Memories 6426-S 21MB MFM drive
1.2 MB IBM floppy drive

So, you can see that the machine is truly loaded. Depending on the offer, I might be willing to replace the tantalum caps that are shorting the board.

I’m open to offers, but you know what 5154s go for, and the machine is truly complete and nice. If the offer is reasonable, I’ll include the AT model F keyboard shown, which is mine. I am not looking for eBay price, especially if the home is good, but since the machine is not mine, I can’t let it go as cheaply as I would my own gear.

I don't suppose you still have the Hitachi CD drive, do you? I've been looking for a Hitachi CDR-3600

Nice system! On a related subject, it's interesting how at least two of the 5170 ATs on eBay at the moment are fitted with non-original motherboards and being pitched as gen-u-ine. Caveat Emptor is the pertinent phrase. Your system looks great, but I cannot rationalize the amount of money it will likely sell for.

Is this still available, I'm interested in the 5154 monitor, please. thanks

Would you please share the price for everything and for the 5154 if you plan to let go separately. thanks
